Confirming Placements

After you have set-up all of the necessary pre-requisite resources and you have created your placements either singularly or in bulk, the last step to make these placements active is to 'confirm' the placements. Once a placement has been confirmed, notifications will be sent out to all users that are attached to the placement, which will let them know that there is a placement available to them. Placements can either be confirmed individually or in bulk, and instructions for either method may be found below.

Confirming a Singular Placement

Step 1: Access Experiential Learning

1. Click on the Main Menu icon.

2. Select Experiential Learning

Step 2: Editing & Confirming a Placement

3. Click on the placement that you would like to confirm

4. Select Edit

5. Click Confirm at the top-right

6. A message will then appear at the top-right hand corner of your screen stating "Placement has been confirmed"

If the confirm button is crossed out when editing your placement, then this indicates that there is information missing from the placement. If you were to hover your mouse over the crossed out confirm button, then the system will display a message stating why you are currently unable to confirm this placement.

Confirming Placements in Bulk

Step 1: Access Experiential Learning

1. Click on the Main Menu icon.

2. Select Experiential Learning

Step 2: Reveal Bulk Actions

3. Select the Show Bulk Actions button at the top right

Step 3: Selecting & Confirming Placements

4. Click on the checkboxes provided under the Confirm column for each of the placements that you would like to confirm

5. Click the Confirm button

If there is no check-box provided to the left of the placement that you are attempting to confirm, then this would indicate that there is information missing on the placement which will need to be provided before the placement can be confirmed. To find out what information is missing, you will have to edit the placement in question and then hover your mouse over the confirm button. The system will then display a message stating which pieces of information are missing on this placement. After providing this additional information then the system will allow you to confirm the placement.
